Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Economics at University Of Geneva

Veronica Preotu is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Economics at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, affiliated to the SNIS (Swiss Network of International Studies) and the NCCR – On the Move (Swiss National Center of Competence in Research – The Migration-Mobility Nexus). Her research has focused on migration and conflict economics, especially on the link between emigration and conflict incidence in the countries of origin; on the effect of exposure to violence on criminal behavior; and on the role of integration policies targeted to asylum seekers. Currently, Veronica is involved in several research projects on the political economy of migration, attitudes towards immigrants and racial discrimination. Veronica holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, a MSc in Economics from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland and a BSc in Economics from the University of Orléans, France.
