Wouter Vermeulen

Wouter Vermeulen is in charge of a research program on subnational governments at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. He is interested in urban economics and local public finance, with a particular focus on the economics of land use regulation. His work has been published in Economic Journal, Economica, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Journal of Regional Science and Journal of Housing Economics. Wouter previously held a position as Assistant Professor at VU University and he is an affiliate of the Spatial Economics Research Centre at the London School of Economics.
