Yang Xu

Yang Xu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Economics & Wang Yanan Institute of Studies in Economics, Xiamen University. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his Mathematics & Economics Bachelor s degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.Yang s main research interests are in international trade, economic geography, and structural transformation. He has worked in a variety of topics such as the impact of trade and technology on the skill premium, how highway construction promotes movement of goods and labor across space, and the role of ports in shaping the distribution of economic activity across space.
