Yannis S. Katsoulacos is Professor of Economics at the Department of Economic Science of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) (1994 - ), University Vice- Rector for Academic Affairs and Personnel (2007 - 2011) and Chairman of the Department of Economic Science (2011 - ). Director of the Department's Programme of Postgraduate Studies (2000 - 4) and Director of the Postgraduate Executive Programme in Applied Economics and Finance which he initiated and organised (2003 - ).He got his MSc and his Ph.D in Economics (1984) from the London School of Economics (Supervisor: John Sutton) and since then he has been teaching courses on industrial organisation, economics of competition and regulation policy, micro-economics and economics of technological change and innovation at under graduate and post-graduate level (to full-time and executive students). He has taught at the Universities of Southampton, Bristol and Liverpool. He was appointed Associate Professor at AUEB in 1989.He has been a Visiting Professor of the University of Pittsburgh (1992-1993) at the Center of Economic Research and Graduate Education, Charles University (Prague), a Visiting Research Fellow (Spring 1994) at the Center de Recherche en Economie et Statistique, CREST-ENSAE (Paris), Director of the Athens Institute of Economic Policy Studies (1993-1995), and Director of the Joint Doctorate Programme in Economics of AUEB and the Kapodestrian University of Athens (2001 -2003). He is an Academic Associate - Senior Consultant with CRA's European Competition Practice (2011 - ).
