Yoshio Higuchi

Yoshio Higuchi is a professor at the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Keio University. He is also a faculty fellow of the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI). He previously served as visiting professor, Faculty of Economics, The Ohio State University (1995); visiting research fellow, Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (1995); visiting professor, Institute of Economic Research, Hitotsubashi University (1993); and visiting research fellow, Faculty of Economics, Columbia University (1985-1987). He received his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business and Commerce, Keio University in 1980.His research interests focus on econometrics and labor economics. He has published numerous papers in academic journals including the Japanese Economic Review, Journal of the Japanese and International Economics, and Journal of Population Economics.
