Zoe Leiyu Xie is a Senior Economist at the Chief Economist Office for South Asia. In this role, she is responsible for leading and contributing to analytical works on the region's macroeconomy. Before joining the World Bank, she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as an Economist and Assistant Policy Adviser, where she specialized on labor market policies and public debt issues. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota.
