CEPR Trustee and Fellow recognised in the 2018 New Year's Honours
CEPR congratulates Trustee Diane Coyle and Fellow Timothy Besley for their 2018 knighthoods in recognition of their services to economics and public policy. Both have been longstanding contributors to CEPR and we wish them all the best in their current and future endevours.
Diane Coyle is a Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester and founded the consultancy Enlightenment Economics. She is also a member of the Natural Capital Committee. She was previously Vice Chair of the BBC Trust, a member of the Migration Advisory Committee, a member of the independent Higher Education Funding Review panel, and of the Competition Commission. Timothy Besley is currently School Professor of Economics and Political Science at the London School of Economics. He previously served as an external member of the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee from September 2006 to August 2009, and since 2015 has been a member of the UK’s National Infrastructure Commission.
