Dewatripoint joins National Bank of Belgium

Mathias Dewatripoint, CEPR's Research Director, has been appointed as an Executive Director of the Bank, with responsibility for prudential policy and financial stability. Dewatripont was appointed as CEPR Research Director in 1998. According to CEPR President Richard Portes: 'Mathias combines scientific distinction with a deep commitment to apply economics to policy issues. He has made an exceptional contribution to the Centre and all associated with CEPR will wish him every success'.
