Lucrezia Reichlin, Professor of Economics at London Business School, has been appointed Research Director of the Centre for Economic Policy Research. She will succeed Mathias Dewatripont, who was recently appointed as a Member of the Executive Board of the National Bank of Belgium. According to CEPR President, Professor Richard Portes: 'In addition to her outstanding achievements in time-series macroeconometrics and "now-casting" (with, for example, the CEPR/Banca d'Italia Eurocoin indicator), Lucrezia Reichlin was for three years (2005-08) Director of the Research Department of the European Central Bank. She has first-hand experience with the process of policy-making and the underlying analytical issues.'
