The 26th CEPR/Study Center Gerzensee European Summer Symposium in Financial Markets (ESSFM) will take place in Gerzensee from 13 to 24 July 2015.
he Organising Committee for this symposium consists of: Andrea Buraschi (Imperial College London and CEPR), Marcin Kacperczyk (Imperial College London and CEPR), Dirk Niepelt (Study Center Gerzensee and CEPR) and Daniel Paravisini (London School of Economics and CEPR).
The meeting will include daily seminars in the morning, in which participants present their work, as well as less formal evening seminars scheduled at the beginning of the Symposium. A substantial amount of time is reserved for independent work and collaborative research, which provides participants with a unique opportunity to interact and discuss each other's research.
In addition, four mornings will be devoted to 'focus sessions', each of which concentrates on some recent developments in corporate finance (week one) and asset pricing (week two). The focus sessions for the corporate finance week are organised by Philip Bond (University of Washington) and Paola Sapienza (Northwestern University and CEPR). Focus sessions for the asset pricing week will be organised by Greg Duffee (John Hopkins University and U.S. Department of Treasury) and Zhiguo He (Booth School of Business, Chicago).
