The objective of the conference, organized by the TSE Health Center at the Toulouse School of Economics, with the help of CEPR, was to discuss recent contributions to the understanding of the organization and regulation of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Organized by Pierre Dubois (TSE & CEPR) and Jean Tirole (TSE and CEPR).

Submissions are now closed. The organizing committee warmly thanks the candidates for their submissions. The selected papers will be presented at the conference.

We welcomed research papers in the domain of regulation, financing of innovation, R&D, intellectual property rights, patents, orphan disease financing, organization and access to health care, competition, regulation of pharmaceutical markets, diagnostic, clinical trials regulation, international aspects of competition and regulation, parallel trade, reference pricing, performance pay systems, precision medicine, telemedicine, digital technologies, etc. 
 
The conference began on the morning of Monday, June 19th, and concluded on the evening of Tuesday, June 20th. It took take place in person in Toulouse. It was not a hybrid conference. Attendance was free but registration is mandatory.
 
The conference followed a pay-your-own-way model, so all participants needed to cover their own travel expenses. The conference provided lunches and dinners. For young researchers (Ph.D. candidates and assistant professors) with an accepted paper, funding by CEPR for travel and accommodation were available.
