Deadline: 18:00 (GMT) 8 February 2022
The Joint Symposium of the CEPR Political Economy Programme (POE) and CEPR Research and Policy Network on Populism (RPN) took place on 14-15 June 2022, hosted by the Department of Economics at Stockholm University. The keynote speaker was Jesse Shapiro (Harvard University).
The goal of the conference was to provide a forum for high-quality research on political economy and on populism and to bring together scholars of political economy and populism from across Europe as well as from outside the region (from both inside and outside the POE and RPN-P). Both theoretical and empirical paper proposals were welcome.
This year, the Symposium of the POE and RPN-P was organised jointly with the CEPR Public Economics Annual Symposium 2022 "Public Finance" (held on 16-17 June 2022, also in Stockholm). The symposium’s keynote speakers were be Emmanuel Saez (UC Berkeley) and Stefanie Stantcheva (Harvard University). The Public Economics Symposium included a special joint session on June 16 dedicated to Political Economy & Public Finance.
