The scientific committee of this small, informal workshop invites submissions of high quality empirical or theoretical research on the role of media and technology in determining the information, beliefs and behavior of individuals in today’s society. Possible topics include:

  • Production, consumption and absorption of information
  • The effect of digital and traditional media on politics and society
  • Biased reporting, fake news, fact checking, journalistic independence, media capture
  • Media policy, media funding, regulation of social media and digital platforms, media concentration
  • The formation of political and societal beliefs and opinions
  • The effect of innovation in media and/or communication technology on all of the above
