Call for Papers / Presentations for the CEPR Household Finance Seminar Series 2023

We are pleased to announce that the CEPR Household Finance Seminar Series is opening submissions for its 2023 series. The deadline to apply is 6.00 pm UK TIME on Tuesday, 17 January 2023.

The CEPR Research and Policy Network (RPN) on Household Finance launched the online seminar series on Household Finance in the summer of 2020. Structured like a regular seminar, with light-touch moderation and opportunities to ask questions during the presentation.
The series is currently run by Matteo Benetton (UC Berkeley) and Michaela Pagel (Columbia University), meeting once a month on the second Friday on Zoom. The seminars are 1 hour long with clarifying questions during the presentation and a Q&A to finish the seminar.

We solicit papers in the following areas, but other related areas are also welcome:

  • The supply side of household finance
  • Asset allocation and debt behaviour over the life cycle
  • Financing retirement and the demographic transition
  • Consumer indebtedness, financial distress, and default decisions
  • Behavioural and structural approaches to household finance
  • Financial literacy and financial education programs
  • Trust, subjective expectations, pessimism, and financial decisions
  • International comparisons of household finances using micro-data
  • Financial advice and legal protection of investors and borrowers
  • Financial innovation and household finances
  • Households liquidity and risk management
  • Climate change, sustainability, and household finances

Paper submissions must also include an up-to-date CV or a URL to your official website. Please kindly note applications without either a CV or a link to an official website will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.

The deadline to apply is 6.00 pm UK TIME on Tuesday, 17 January 2023.

If you would like to register to attend the Series without submitting a paper you can register on Zoom here.
