A joint Conference by the

Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH), Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg (OvGU), Kiel Institute for the World Economy and CEPR

The first Workshop on Publishing in Top Macro & Finance Journals will be held on March 19-20, 2025 at the Kiel-CEPR Research Hub in Berlin. This event is part of the FYI - Insights for Young Researchers in Finance initiative, which aims to support junior researchers in academia by helping them build networks and gain access to valuable information.

Who should Apply: This workshop is designed for untenured faculty members (postdocs & non-tenured APs) specializing in Banking, Financial Economics, or Macroeconomics who aim to publish their work in high-impact journals. Preferably, applicants should have at least one well-advanced paper that has been presented at conferences and is currently under review or close to submission for publication. Preference will be given to applicants submitting a paper without senior co-authors.

The workshop's objective is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the publication process. The program will feature a panel discussion on effectively managing the publication process, interactive poster sessions, sessions on abstract writing, and one-on-one mentoring opportunities.

Expenses for travel and accommodation in Berlin can be covered by the Kiel Institute. Limits apply and will be communicated to successful applicants. Meals and refreshments will be provided for all participants during the conference.
