Joris Tielens

Economist at National Bank Of Belgium

Joris Tielens obtained his PhD in economics at KU Leuven in 2019. During his studies, he was a visiting scholar at the European Central Bank. He is currently an economist at the research department of the National Bank of Belgium where he also takes up an advising role on the Bank’s macroprudential policies. His research interests include (real effects of) financial intermediation, banking/production networks, and macroeconomic modelling.
