Econometrics

The 11th Anglo-French Colloquium in Political Economy, held on 9/10 February in Paris, focused on `Recent Developments in Econometrics'. The Colloquium is a collaboration between CEPR, the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme and the Département et Laboratoire d'Economie Théorique et Appliquée (DELTA), of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. Financial support is provided by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique.

The 1990 Colloquium was organized by Thierry Magnac (DELTA) and Mark Salmon (European University Institute, Florence, and CEPR). It featured presentations of work on time series data, such as the demand for money and the behaviour of UK personal savings, and error correction models of the consumption function. Other presentations focused on the analysis of cross-section data, including consumer demand behaviour, female labour supply and techniques for analysing count and duration data.
