Dr. Amadou Boly is Special Assistant to the Chief Economist and Vice-President of the African Development Bank, after working as a Principal then Chief Research Economist in the Research Department. Previously, he worked as Research Fellow and Program Coordinator at UNU-WIDER in Finland; and as Industrial Development Officer at UNIDO in Austria. He is a Resource Person for the African Economic Research Consortium and was an Associate Editor of the African Development Review. He has contributed to several book chapters and flagship reports and published in leading international journals such as Economic Journal, European Economic Review, Experimental Economics, International Economic Review, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization or World Development. Dr. Boly hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Montreal (Canada), a MSc in International Business from the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and a Maitrise in Economics and Management from the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).
