Aurea Ponte Marques

Aurea Ponte Marques is a Team Lead in the Stress Test Modelling Division of the Directorate General Financial Stability and Macroprudential Policy of the European Central Bank and a visiting Professor in the European Economic Studies Department of the College of Europe. Prior to joining the ECB, she worked at the Financial Stability Department of Banco de Portugal. She is finalising a PhD in Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management at University of Lisbon. Her research interests cover macroprudential policy and empirical banking, with a focus on the effectiveness of macroprudential capital buffers and stress tests credit risk models.
