Christian works as a Senior Economist in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund where he examines developments in energy and agricultural commodity markets. Previously he was a lecturer at the University of Birmingham. His research covers a range of issues in the fields of international trade, environmental and resource economics, and energy economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from Tilburg University.
