Etienne Lepers

Economist, International Finance Unit at Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD)

Etienne Lepers is an Economist in the International Finance Unit of the Directorate for Financial Affairs at the OECD since 2016. He is a co-organiser of the annual BdF-BdI-BoE-IMF-OECD Workshop on International Capital Flows, the OECD session at the Central Bank Research Association (CEBRA) Annual Conference, and a core instructor in the annual ESRB-ECB led EIU/FBF Course on Macroprudential Policy Implementation. He has published a number of peer-reviewed studies on capital flows and capital controls, early warning systems of financial crises, the effectiveness of macroprudential policy and the political economy of finance. Prior to joining the OECD, Etienne was working in the Risk Analysis team of the European Systemic Risk Board, hosted at the ECB. He received his PhD from City, University of London and graduate degrees from the London School of Economics and Sciences Po in Paris.
