Keiko Murata is Professor at the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Tokyo Metropolitan University. She was Director of Overseas Economies in 2005-6 and Senior Fellow of ESRI (Economic and Social Research Institute) in 2003-5 at the Cabinet Office. Her earlier career includes the OECD and the Economic Planning Agency in Japan. Her research interests are primarily macro, international macro and labour, with a particular focus on household behaviour. She holds a doctorate from Oxford University.
