2nd Conference in Health Economics 

Organised by Pierre Dubois (TSE and CEPR) and Jean Tirole (TSE and CEPR)


Scope and objective
The objective of the conference, organised by the TSE Health Center at the Toulouse School of Economics, is to discuss recent contributions to the understanding of the organisation and regulation of the health care and pharmaceutical sectors. The conference will provide a global forum for path-breaking health economics research critical to public policy, financing, and technology innovation.

We welcome research papers in the domain of financing of innovation, R&D, intellectual property rights, patents, orphan disease financing, organisation and access of health care, competition, regulation of pharmaceutical markets, diagnostic, clinical trials regulation, international aspects of competition and regulation, parallel trade, reference pricing, performance pay systems, precision medicine, telemedicine, digital technologies, …

Submission information
Deadline for papers submission: February 15th, 2024.
Acceptance: no later than March 4th , 2024
Individuals who do not plan to submit a paper but are interested in serving as a discussant can make this known by email to [email protected]

Date of the conference
The conference will begin on the morning of Wednesday, June 19th and conclude the evening of Thursday June 20th. It will take place in person in Toulouse.

Registration
Registration is free but mandatory.
We kindly request participants who need to cancel to inform us as soon as they know.

Funding
The conference will follow a pay-your-own-way model, so all participants will need to cover their own travel expenses. The conference will provide coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners.
For young researchers without funding (Ph.D candidates and assistant professors), funding by CEPR for travel and accommodation will be available according to the CEPR travel guidelines. Candidates must signal this request when submitting their paper. The organisers will select the candidates who can benefit from these grants.
