Congratulations to CEPR Research Fellow Silvana Tenreyro for being appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in this year’s King’s Birthday Honours, for services to the economy. This recognition rewards contributions to the Arts, Sciences, Charitable work and Public Service.

Silvana Tenreyro is Programme Director for CEPR's International Macroeconomics and FinanceDevelopment Economics programme, a Research Fellow for the Monetary Economics & Fluctuations, Macroeconomics & Growth programme and a Member of CEPR's Central Bank Communication RPN. She is a Professor in Economics at the London School of Economics, a Fellow of the British Academy, and former President of the European Economic Association.

Silvana has also been an ​​​​​​External Member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee since 2017 for two consecutive terms. Her research focuses on Macroeconomics, particularly Monetary Policy, Macro-Development and International Trade and Finance.
