Liesel Mack Filgueiras is Vale's head of Human Rights, and Sustainability Themes. She is responsible for Vale Global Human Rights Agenda and due diligence and Climate Change Strategy. She worked at Vale Foundation from 2005 until 2007. She was a Social Entrepreneurial Teacher at Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RIO) from 2001-2006.
Liesel has an executive training on sustainability in the extractive sector in Columbia University and a Leadership Training from MIT, a Human Rights Training from FGV-Law-SP, a Master degree in Business Administration and a graduation degree in Psychology, the last two ones from PUC-RIO. She attended University of California – Berkeley in 1996.
