This Event is no longer receiving submissions.

We are writing to invite you to submit a paper proposal or to express your interest in attending the eleventh CEPR Economic History Symposium, which will take place in Dublin, 13-14 June 2024.

Funding:
The sponsoring institutions can cover accommodation and travel expenses according to the CEPR travel guidelines for presenters. However, funding is limited and we encourage participants who have research funds available to use their own funds so that resources can be preferentially channeled to junior participants.

Paper Submissions:
Submit your paper online by 18:00 UK time, 22 January 2024.
•    Only full drafts of papers will be considered.
•    Each paper submission should include an abstract (200 words max).
•   Submit your document in PDF format to ensure that all fonts, symbols, and equations appear the way they were originally typed.

Please note:
The person who submits the paper must be the one who will be presenting it in person during the symposium. Please specify your funding requirements from the beginning as they may not be possible to change moving forward.

The symposium aims to bring together leading researchers in the field. Papers are being sought on topics including, but not necessarily limited to:

  • Economic growth in the very long run
  • Institutions and economic development
  • The history of the international economy
  • Macroeconomic and financial history
