The 13th CEPR European Summer Symposium in Labour Economics (ESSLE) will take place between 1-3 September 2011 (arrival 31st August evening and departure 4th September morning). The meeting will be hosted by the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) at the conference centre of Deutsche Post DHL in Buch at the lake of Ammersee (near Munich), and will be organised by Giuseppe Bertola (Università degli Studi di Torino and CEPR), Marco Caliendo (IZA) and Josef Zweimüller (Institute for Empirical Research in Economics, University of Zurich and CEPR). The keynote lecture will be given by Francine D. Blau (Cornell University).

ESSLE is designed to bring together economists in the field from across Europe and key researchers from outside the region. It provides a unique opportunity for researchers from different universities and countries to discuss their work in a relaxed atmosphere and to develop long-term collaborative relationships. Another important aim of ESSLE is to provide young researchers with the opportunity to meet and discuss their work with senior economists. Paper proposals are invited in any area of labour economics.
