How does climate change affect workers?

Recorded at CEPR’s June 2022 Paris Symposium, Paula Bustos presents her recent research on the effects of both climate and climate change on the movement of people across sectors. When compared to past international shocks, climate change is seen to have a larger effect because it generates greater movement of people, in particular agricultural workers who are especially vulnerable to the consequences of adverse weather conditions.
