Alan Bollard

Alan Bollard is Professor of Practice at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Before that he was, respectively, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Secretariat, Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, and Permanent Secretary, New Zealand Treasury. He is the author of A Few Hares to Chase: The Economic Life and Times of Bill Phillips (Oxford University Press, 2016) and, with Sarah Gaitanos, of Crisis: One Central Bank Governor and the Global Financial Collapse (Aukland University Press, 2012). He was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2013.
