Alessandro Nicita

Alessandro Nicita is an Economist at the United Nation Conference for Trade and Development. Before his present position he worked in the Development Economics Research Group at the World Bank. His research focuses on issues related to international trade and development. His work has included the measurement of the effects of trade policies, the analysis of policies improving market access for developing countries, as well as the effect of trade policies on poverty and inequality. He has authored several publications in the field of international trade and economic development. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Université de Genève and a Master in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan.
