Anna Thum-Thysen

Anna Thum-Thysen is an Economist in the Economics Department of the European Commission (DG ECFIN) and Coordinator of output gap and potential output analysis in DG ECFIN’s Economic Modelling Unit. Anna works on issues related to business cycle dynamics, productivity, labour, mark-ups, human capital and innovation. She holds a Phd in economics from the European University Institute (EUI) and in the past she held positions at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the European Centre for Advanced Research on Economics and Statistics (ECARES) at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the New Zealand Institute for Economic Research (NZIER). Her work is published in peer-reviewed journals and combines in-depth analysis with policy relevance.
