Atsuyuki Kato

Associate Professor at Kanazawa University, Research Associate at Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI)

Atsuyuki Kato is an Associate Professor, Kanazawa University and a Research Associate at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI). His research expertise is in economic growth, productivity analysis, and trade and development. His research has been published in book chapters and RIETI discussion papers, as well as various publications including Journal of Productivity Analysis, Japan and the World Economy, Applied Economics, and Journal of International Trade and Economic Development. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Essex in 2007. Prior to joining Kanazawa University in 2016, he was an associate professor at Waseda University, and was a fellow at RIETI and a research associate at the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI). At RIETI, he served as the Project Leader of a research project entitled “Differentiated Services and Productivity.”
