Bart Hertveldt

Team Coordinator at Federal Planning Bureau

Bart Hertveldt is coordinator of the Federal Planning Bureau team charged with drawing up the official input-output tables and the environmental-economic accounts for Belgium and is one of the coordinators of the project ‘economic assessment of election manifestos’. Having completed his studies at Ghent University (master’s degree in economics) and at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (postgraduate degree in econometrics), he started his professional career as a researcher at Ghent University (department of financial economics). He joined the Federal Planning Bureau in April 1993 and up to 2004 he worked in the Business cycle analysis and short-term forecasting team. His current research is based on input-output applications in the environmental field and the domain of globalisation.
