Bastein Chabé-Ferret

Bastien Chabé-Ferret is a senior research officer at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Essex and a Research Fellow at the IZA institute of Labor Economics in Bonn. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow FNRS ("Fonds de la recherche scientifique") at the Université catholique de Louvain in 2014-2017 and visited the Californian Center for Population Research at UCLA in 2014/2015. He was an ERC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Paris School of Economics in 2013-2014. Bastien obtained a PhD in economics from Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) in 2013. Bastien’s research focuses on the determinants and consequences of cultural norms, in the context of fertility, migration, education, labor and health decisions.
