Bernard Delbecque

Professor of Economics at IRES/LIDAM, UCLouvain

Bernard Delbecque is Professor of Economics at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Belgium. He is also Director of Economics and Research at the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA). He started his working career as an Economist at the International Monetary Fund D.C. (1987-1991), after which he worked as an Adviser to the Belgian Finance Minister on European monetary integration, international monetary and financial affairs, and fiscal consolidation (1992-1999). He is a graduate of the Université of Namur in Belgium, and has a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.
