Bertrand Villeneuve

Professor of Economics at Dauphine university, CNRS

Bertrand Villeneuve is professor of economics at the Université Paris-Dauphine. He belongs with the Financial Economics and Macroeconomics Group (SDFi at the LEDA) which he has led for 9 years. His research is on market structure in the field of insurance, commodities and energy. He is currently scientific advisor of the Institut Louis Bachelier, a not-for-profit network of researchers and donors working on finance. He is also the scientific manager of the LabEx (laboratoire d’excellence) Finance and Sustainable Growth (from 2011 to 2023). He was an associate editor of the Journal of Risk and Insurance.
