Biswajit Banerjee

Biswajit Banerjee is Chief Economist of the Bank of Slovenia since April 2014. He is also a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the European Central Bank. Dr. Banerjee is a former senior staff member of the International Monetary Fund, where he led surveillance and program missions to several countries in central and southeastern Europe. He also previously taught at Haverford College, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and University of Oxford. He has served as an external advisor to the Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic, and has conducted training courses in financial programming for senior government officials of Bangladesh.
