Christos Axioglou

Christos Axioglou has joined the European Commission as national expert in professional training and works at the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN). He holds an expert economist position on macroeconomics at the Hellenic Fiscal Council (Athens, Greece) and has previous multi-year professional experience working at the Ministry of Finance of Greece. He has served in non-tenured academic positions as Professor in Economics, Finance and Econometrics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece) and the University of West Attica (Greece). He has also collaborated in research projects at the London School of Economics (Hellenic Observatory), the Santa Fe Institute (USA) and the Central Bank of Greece. He has published academic reasearch in the fields of Financial Economics, Econometrics, Macroeconomics, Industrial Organization and Public Economics. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece).
