Christy Ann Petit

Christy Ann Petit is an Assistant Professor at the School of Law and Government of Dublin City University (DCU) and Deputy Director of the DCU Brexit Institute. Her research interests cover EU Law, financial supervision and regulation, the law of the Banking Union, the Economic and Monetary Union, and central banking. Christy's most recent works explored the Banking Union case law, the legal framework of the digital euro and Anti-Money Laundering enforcement. She has conducted academic and policy research in other areas, including with a multidisciplinary approach, such as: regulatory divergence and cooperation in financial services after Brexit, regulatory cooperation on carbon pricing, the accountability of EU industrial policy, and, post-pandemic economic governance in the EU. Christy holds a PhD from the European University Institute in Law, passed the French agrégation in Economics & Management during her studies at the Ecole normale supérieure in Economics, Law, and Management, and holds an LLM from the College of Europe.
