Csilla Lakatos is a Senior Economist in the Development Prospects Group (DECPG) of the World Bank. She contributes to the World Bank's semi-annual flagship report, the Global Economic Prospects, with monitoring and analytical chapters related to trade and investment policy and structural reforms in emerging and developing economies. She specializes in applied policy analysis using computable general equilibrium models. Prior to joining the World Bank she worked for the Chief Economist's Unit of the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission in Brussels and the US International Trade Commission in Washington DC. She holds a PhD from Purdue University.
