Daniel Benjamin

Daniel J. Benjamin is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Economics Department at Cornell University, where he has taught since 2007, and Visiting Associate Professor (Research) of Economics at the University of Southern California. He is a behavioral economist. Current research topics include exploring how best to use survey measures of subjective well-being to track national well-being and evaluate policies; understanding errors people make in statistical reasoning; and identifying genetic variants associated with outcomes such as educational attainment and subjective well-being. He received his B.A. in economics from Harvard University in 1999, his M.Sc. in mathematical economics from the London School of Economics in 2000, and his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 2006.
