David Lagakos is an Associate Professor of Economics (with tenure) at Boston University, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Lead Academic for Ghana at the International Growth Centre at London School of Economics. He is a co-editor of the Journal of Development Economics and an editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics. He received his PhD from UCLA.
Prior to joining the faculty at Boston University, David was an Assistant Professor of Economics at U.C. San Diego, an Assistant Professor at Arizona State University and a Research Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. His research is in the fields of macroeconomics and development economics.
