Dirk Pilat

Dirk Pilat is a Research Fellow of The Productivity Institute, an Associate Researcher of the Valencia Institute of Economic Research (IVIE) and a Senior Research Fellow of the Lisbon Council. Until August 2022, he was Deputy Director of the OECD Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation where he helped oversee OECD’s work on science and technology, innovation, productivity and business dynamics, digital economy policy, consumer policy and industry policies. Since leaving the OECD, his work has focused on productivity, innovation and the green transition. Dirk is a Dutch national and earned his PhD in Economics at the University of Groningen.
