Esther Arenas Arroyo is an Assistant Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). She obtained a Ph.D. from Queen Mary University of London in 2017. Before joining WU, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford's Centre on Migration, Policy, and Society (COMPAS). Esther is a labor economist with research interests in immigration policy, human capital, child well-being, and domestic violence. Her current research agenda concerns how policies and climate disasters affect children, families, and firms. She is also working on understanding which interventions might prevent domestic violence and bullying.
