Ferdinand Mittermaier

Ferdinand Mittermaier, born in 1982, studied Economics and Management at the Universities of Munich, Germany and Southampton, UK. During his studies, he took part in the extra-curricular programme of the “Bayerische EliteAkademie”, an institution devoted to promoting ethics-based leadership. He received his doctoral degree in Economics at the Seminar for Economic Policy at the University of Munich, Germany in 2010. During his graduate studies, he spent a semester at Simon Fraser University in 2008. His research focuses on issues of economic integration in connection with international taxation and labour market frictions. In 2010, he won the IIPF’s Young Economists Award. He currently works as an Assistant to the Executive Board at Allianz insurance company.
