Frits Bos is an expert in public finance and macro-economic statistics. For fifteen years, he worked at Statistics Netherlands and the European Statistical Office. Since 2001, he works at CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. For a decade, his major job was analyzing and forecasting Dutch public finance and evaluating the government budget and election platforms. He published papers on the Dutch fiscal framework, Dutch public finance in historical perspective, fiscal decentralisation in the Netherlands and the theory and practice of macro-economic statistics. As a Private Consultant, he wrote a major part of the new European guidelines on national accounting (ESA2010). This year, he changed jobs within CPB. He is now project leader cost-benefit analysis of Dutch water management strategies for the 21th century.
