Giampaolo Lecce is currently a an Assistant Professor at The Faculty of Economics and Business at University of Groningen and Research Affiliate at CEPR. Previously, he has joined the Center for Economic History at Northwestern University, the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Università Bocconi and the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics at Yale University. He earned his PhD in Economics at Università Bocconi. He specialises in political economy and economic history. His recent research explores the long-run effects of culture and institutions on economic performance and socio-political outcomes.
