Gilles Carbonnier is Professor of development economics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. He is editor-in-chief of International Development Policy and President of the Centre for Education and Research in Humanitarian Action in Geneva. His research and publications focus on the economics of humanitarian crises and responses, the governance of natural resources and illicit financial flows.
