Italo Colantone is Associate Professor of Economic Policy at Bocconi University, in Milan. He is also affiliated to the Baffi-Carefin centre for applied research on international markets, banking, finance and regulation. Italo holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL). He teaches European economic integration and macroeconomics. His research focuses on international trade, political economics, and applied industrial organization. He has authored several articles on the effects of economic integration on firm performance, industry dynamics, and electoral outcomes. He has been involved in research projects for the European Commission, and has acted as a consultant for the OECD. More at www.italocolantone.com
