Joao Granja

Joao Granja is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. His research interests include the relationship between transparency and financial development with a focus on examining the role that accounting information plays in shaping the stability and development of financial institutions. His papers have been accepted in the Journal of Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, and in the Journal of Finance. He completed his PhD studies at the University of Chicago and worked for three years at the MIT - Sloan School of Management before returning to the Booth School of Business.
